I’m beyond thrilled with the portraits I had commissioned of Runa and Lyric from my Daughters of Fire & Sea series. Don’t they look amazing? Thank you to Salome Totladze for this beautiful artwork. Here is a link for Salome’s Instagram account.
For those of you who haven’t yet read the series, you can find the first book here. Runa is the red-haired sister on the left, and Lyric is on the right. They are twins and discover they have magic and a rather complicated family tree. Their portraits give you an idea of which element is the strongest for each of them. 😉
Here’s the blurb for the first book:
A story of sisters, magical adventure, betrayal, war, and dragons …
The first in a new series, Daughters of Fire & Sea (Book One) is an epic fantasy novel about twin sisters who discover magic, dragons, and a threat to their entire world.
Abandoned by their mother, Elaina, at fifteen, twin sisters Lyric and Runa Graymorn are accustomed to living on their own. They’d always known there were secrets in their past, but when Elaina’s unexpected return threatens their lives, the sisters must flee from the only home they’ve ever known.
Embarking on an incredible journey deep into the Veil of the Underworld and out along the Tainted Shore, Lyric and Runa are shocked to learn myths are more real than they imagined, and there is magic in their blood; magic they can use.
How will they respond to their new role as pawns at the heart of an age-old war? Will their bond survive their dangerous journey?
The survival of their entire world rests on their actions.
I can’t wait to hear what you think once you’ve read the book! 😉 The second book, The Dragon Flute, is my current WIP and will be released by the end of July. If you love world maps as I do, check out the map of Erith below. It shows the locations from the first book and some from the next two in the trilogy. Likely, I’ll be adding a few more cities in the future. 🙂See the map
