A Writer's Diary for 2022

Two years ago I created a flash fiction podcast called Holly Reads a Story to share my 100-word flash fiction each week. They were super short episodes and it was fun practice not only to read my stories aloud (something which is a part of my writing process to make sure the story and dialogue sound right) and to challenge myself as I am terrified of public speaking. I let it fall away after a while as I didn’t write as much flash last year, but I’ve decided to bring it back in a new form.

This year I’m aiming to record and release new episodes every week or so (no set schedule but I am aiming for consistency) with a short flash reading at the beginning and then a verbal account of my writing for the week and things that interested me, challenges, books I enjoyed etc — a writer’s audio diary! Hopefully you’ll find this interesting and if you have any thoughts or questions, feel free to send me an email or message. I’d love to hear from you! Below is the first two episodes I’ve recorded, and you’ll be able to find them on SoundCloud going forward and linked on my Instagram account.

If you’re interested in listening to the previous episodes, you can listen to all of Season One here. You can also find many of these stories in my published collection of flash fiction, Unusual Diction Volume 1-3.

Thank you so much for listening. :)
