My final degree project prior to my internship. A slice of a fantasy adventure game about a young woman who hunts for fae artifacts with the help of a disembodied voice.

I loved working on this solo project as I had free creative control. It was exciting to test everything I’ve learned so far over the last year with Futuregames, including creating and implementing systems that were previously beyond my technical ability. I have a better understanding now for setting up AI, including spawn points, building an inventory and interaction system, creating post-process effects and materials, level design, set dressing an entire town, and creating an exciting and eye-catching main menu and intro sequence.

There were definitely a lot of challenges! As is the nature of game design, I frequently had to find creative solutions to work around limitations and had to prioritize certain tasks over others to ensure that those with the biggest impact on the game were completed first.
